Looks like Netgear beats everyone to the first 802.11n product. Ubergizmo has a great lpost about all of the Netgear 802.11n line.
Great article from a Novell noob. So far the desktop from Novell/SUSE rocks.
Interesting story about Microsoft and it’s identity management woes. The story touts the new InfoCard to do away with “traditional” usernames and passwords.
Ok. So this is a very open question. What do you want in a gadget blog? I feed some generic news as I see it (outside of my regular job). I have links to some cool gadgets. There is a iPod page for all things iPod and it’s laid out fairly simply, but I admit it could be cleaned up and organized better.
So what is it? Feeeeedddddd me!
This is an interesting story about technology that has been around for a while. The problem with presence technology is that no one seems to understand what “presence” is about. “I am therefore I can be found” is the premise behind presence. Back in the early 90’s, I could be found by putting in my schedule into Ameritech’s system so that my phone would follow me…work from 8-5, cell from 5p-6p, home from 6p-9p then straight to vmail until 6a. This worked fine until, I changed my schedule (I can be unpredictable at times).
Presence is about knowing where you are and what is best to reach you. If I’m online, I can be found. If I’m not, how do you find me? Well, apparently Tello is going to do that AND it will do it based on OPEN STANDARDS! Whooo-ahhhh!.

Now I’ve seen it all. Selling pixel based ads, selling pixel based ads with a chance at winning a lottery, selling organs (yea, real live ones) on ebay, and now robotic panhandling. Read on.
Ah…what a great time to be in Las Vegas - if you live in BOSTON! CES is coming. Stay tuned for all the buzz when everyone that is someone and even those that aren’t anyone release something that fits into the “gotta havit gadget” category.
Rethinking the Planets - Popular Science
So this is a bit out of category…but I have a passion for science. This is very interesting. The New Horizon’s spacecraft is going to be launched on 11 Jan 06 from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
It’s travelling non-stop and will slingshot around Jupiter in early 2007 to make it to Pluto by 2015. Some naysayers say Pluto isn’t a planet…well in 2015 we’ll find out a TON more than we know now…all thanks to modern technology.
Very cool.
