GPS Gadgets

I’ve been researching some cool GPS gadgets and found some interesting stuff…

The bestselling ones are the Garmin Forerunners
The Garmin Forerunner 301 Personal GPS with Heart Rate MonitorGarmin Forerunner 301 has a heart rate monitor so that when you are running thru the woods to grandma’s house you won’t get lost and you won’t go over your target heart rate! Very cool!

This Garmin Forerunner 201 Wrist-mounted GPS Personal Training DeviceGarmin Forerunner 201 is a simplified version (no heart rate monitor) and is cheaper than the 301. That is really the only difference.

The Garmin eTrex Legend 8 MB GPS with PC CableGarmin eTrex Legend is by far the most popular handheld version. It’s low on memory ( you won’t be able to load EVERY detail in the US or UK), but you will be able to add most. Very affordable and is a workhorse.

The TomTom Go 700 Portable GPS Navigation System and Bluetooth Hands-Free Car KitTomTom Go 700 is bluetooth enabled. There are others that are not (Tom Tom is quite popular these days), but this one would connect to your PC and allow you to use a mapping program to plot your route in more detail.

Want a simple bluetooth enabled GPS??

The Garmin GPS10 Bluetooth Enabled Wireless GPS Receiver (Sensor Only)Garmin GPS10 is a sensor only and will connect to a GPS bluetooth enabled receiver (like a Treo!).
